Engineering Manager
We are partnering with a well established international organisation operating in a highly regulated finance environment. They are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and shape critical finance platforms that sit at the core of business planning treasury and cash management.
This role requires a technically credible Engineering Manager with deep experience in finance systems and cloud platforms. This is not a delivery coordinator or people only manager. The successful hire must be able to challenge technical decisions engage at architecture level and push back with confidence when required.
The organisation already has strong internal engineers. They are only hiring externally if the individual clearly raises the bar.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide engineering teams responsible for core finance platforms
- Act as a technical authority across finance systems and complex integrations
- Partner closely with finance treasury and senior stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
- Own architectural decisions and ensure platforms are scalable secure and highly reliable
- Drive best practice across Azure cloud architecture DevOps and integration patterns
- Challenge internal technical decisions with confidence and credibility
- Ensure high standards around performance resilience security and compliance
Experience Required
- Proven Engineering Manager or Senior Technical Lead background in enterprise environments
- Strong experience working with finance systems and business critical platforms
- Hands on understanding of Anaplan and Kyriba or equivalent financial planning and treasury systems
- Strong Azure experience including cloud architecture and platform services
- Experience integrating finance platforms with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365
- Ability to operate at detail level without needing to code day to day
- Long tenure in previous roles with clear ownership and accountability
- Comfortable pushing back and influencing senior technical and non technical stakeholders
