Field Service Engineer
My client, a North Sligo based manufacturing company to the global food production sector, are seeking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer. This role will cover all of Ireland, with occasional travel to the UK or to supplier sites in Spain and Italy. The position will suit someone from an electrical or mechatronics background. Experience in the food industry or food production would be advantageous.
This is a permanent position, based on site at their headquarters in Sligo with approx. 60-80% travel as part of the role
Responsibilities
- Installation and servicing of product range.
- Provide training to client’s maintenance team, on-site evaluations, installation of machine upgrades and equipment testing.
- After sale customer calls, equipment repairs, product troubleshooting, in-house product testing and demos.
- Help with the commissioning process of the final product by wiring control panels, motors, e-stops, and isolators.
Requirements
- Electrical or Instrumentation abilities with relevant experience
- Experience in the installation, training, calibration, repair and maintenance of highly technical advanced equipment
- Field Service and/or troubleshooting experience
- Working knowledge of computers and most common software packages
- Working knowledge of MS SQL an advantage
- Ability to produce technical presentations and to deliver training effectively
- Highly organised and self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, location and hours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focused, with a passion for building strong relationships with your internal & external customers Skills in electronics or instrumentation.
Other information
- Willingness and ability to travel to visit customers.
- Happy to travel and work out of hours/weekends as required with food factory environments - OT available
- Valid driving licence essential
- You will have access to a company vehicle and full product training will be provided
