Position Title: Director, Finance – Accounting
Location: Cork
Company Overview:
A leading global biopharmaceutical company is seeking a dedicated finance professional to join their team. The organisation is looking for a dynamic finance leader to head the Collaborations Accounting team. This role will oversee financial operations and reporting for collaboration and alliance agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end collaborations accounting, reporting, and forecasting
- Review new collaboration/alliance agreements and manage related financial activities (e.g., milestones, royalties, cost sharing)
- Deliver management reporting and business insights to senior leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with Alliance Management, Corporate Development, FP&A, and other internal/external teams
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within collaboration accounting
- Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive team
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
- Support organisational initiatives and CFO projects
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required; CA or MBA preferred
- Extensive relevant experience in accounting/finance roles with team leadership
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Experience with financial systems like Alliant, Oracle/SAP, Hyperion is preferred
- Background in the Life Sciences or biopharma sector is a plus
