Finance Manager
We are working on behalf of a premier food manufacturing company to recruit a Finance Manager to lead their Finance team. The Finance Manager will oversee the provision of financial information and analysis to the SMT and Board in order to support business decisions. Due to the exposure of the role, the Finance Manager will also support Senior Management in understanding organisational performance.

Responsibilities
· Support with implementation of financial controls and reporting, including but not limited to, monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow), balance sheet reconciliations, process and systems improvements, payroll, VAT submissions etc.
· Presentation and interpretation of financial reports will include proactive and robust financial analysis to support decision making and business performance.
· Alongside the Financial Director, the role-holder will review agreed key performance indicators and commentaries on variances.
· Managing and coordinating annual budgeting and subsequent reforecast processes.
· Presentation of financial reports to management, finance committee and board members in meetings.
· Accountable for monitoring the financial progress of restricted funds, investigating variances, and providing commentary to project leads.
· Liaising with external stakeholders, including auditors, bank managers and legal advisors.
· In conjunction with external auditors be responsible for preparing draft statutory accounts in line with UK Government requirements.
· Ensure organisational compliance with all taxation and VAT regulations.
· Be responsible for the direct line management of employees who report to the post holder, ensuring that matters relating to performance, attendance and discipline are addressed within agreed timescales and in accordance with Avondale policies and procedures.
The Person
· At least 5 years’ experience working within a Finance function with at least 2 years supervisory / management experience.
· Third Level Qualification with professional accreditation from a professional body such as AAT. ATI, CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
