Financial Controller – Cavan (Onsite)
Our client is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join their team in Cavan. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hands-on leadership opportunity within a growing, multi-entity organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and staff or partner management.
- Own all finance processes and controls — from reconciliations and intercompany transactions to inventory valuation and supplier payments.
- Deliver accurate, timely month-end and year-end closings across consolidated financial statements.
- Manage tax compliance, filings, and payments.
- Lead audit preparation and coordination, ensuring accuracy and minimal adjustments.
- Partner with the Group CFO to provide meaningful financial insights and support strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager in a multi-entity environment (strong step-up candidates welcome).
- Proven experience managing month-end close and consolidated accounts.
- Strong accounting systems knowledge and attention to detail.
- Payroll experience and solid understanding of UK tax compliance.
Desirable:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, etc.).
- Experience with Exact Globe, Lucanet, Scan Sys, or similar systems.
- Background in process improvement, acquisition accounting, and inventory management.
