Head of Tax & Reporting – Northern Europe
We are seeking an experienced Head of Tax & Reporting to lead tax strategy, compliance, and reporting across the Northern Europe region. This senior role reports to the Group CFO and oversees tax governance, statutory reporting, audits, and continuous improvement of tax processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Develop strategic tax planning, including transfer pricing and group tax optimisation
- Oversee statutory accounts, consolidated tax packs, and deferred tax calculations
- Manage internal/external audits and maintain robust tax controls
- Provide tax and technical accounting guidance to finance teams
- Deliver tax training and build capability across the region
- Monitor tax legislation changes and advise senior leadership
- Support new projects with tax risk assessments
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant senior tax experience in a multi‑entity environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and Northern Europe tax regulations
- Proven ability to lead tax compliance, reporting, and audit processes
- Experience with cross‑border tax issues and transfer pricing
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
