This role sits within the Portfolio Management Division, the team responsible for Investment Monitoring, ESG and wider impact, Risk management, Asset allocation and Portfolio analytics for the Fund. Specifically, this role sits within the Irish Portfolio Monitoring team
The Investment Manager will be required to work collaboratively within the Irish Portfolio Monitoring team and also among the wider deal teams.
Activities will include:
- Manage a portfolio of Irish investments including:
- On-going monitoring and review of investee reports;
- Preparation and presentation of review papers to Management Committees;
- Preparation of year end valuation and impairment review papers;
- Attending investee company meetings and advisory committees as required; and
- Review and progress investee requests.
- Producing key reports for Management and Investment Committees.
- Managing ad-hoc projects as required to provide portfolio insights to colleagues, Investment Committee and stakeholders.
- Assisting and inputting into process improvements within the Irish Portfolio Monitoring team to embed best practices.
- Reviewing output of junior colleagues.
- Building effective relationships with wider team, support departments (legal, risk and compliance), Investee companies and co-investors as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a relevant third level qualification.
- 6+ years’ relevant experience in investment management, portfolio management, or similar environment (private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, commercial/corporate banking, accountancy etc).
- A strong track record in monitoring and/or investing. Technically strong across a range of sub-sectors and/or products but prior sectoral experience with real assets and / or commercial debt / lending will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrate a keen and well-informed interest in investment and in developing knowledge and expertise.
- Experience of relationship management with investees and/or other third parties
