As IT Systems and Network Engineer you will be tasked with a variety of maintenance, support and project activities. These will include monitoring and maintaining an organisation’s computer systems and networks, diagnosing any hardware or software faults with these systems, leading on IT projects, supporting new rollouts of processes and engaging with software/hardware vendors.
Responsibilities as IT Systems & Network Engineer include:
You will be supporting the 1st/2nd line Helpdesk engineers in complex IT issues to help minimise downtime to our operations teams.
You will be dealing directly with employees and customers who have technical problems that cannot be resolved by first line.
Key Activities Include:
· Installation & configuration of a company’s computer hardware operating systems and applications
· Maintenance and monitoring of computer networks and systems
· Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
· Manage and support our change management processes
· Analysis of inbound service desk tickets in order to discover any underlying issues or trends
· Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
· Identifying, testing and evaluating new technology
· Managing reports and necessary documentation
· Help define standard processes for the Helpdesk

· Demonstrated knowledge of maintaining an on-cloud environment (Azure preferred but not essential)
· Demonstrated knowledge of maintaining a VPN environment
· Knowledge of datacentre network infrastructure (from ISP through to end user)
· Some knowledge of network security is prefferential
Although a degree is not strictly necessary, a degree in one of the following subjects would be preferred:
