Job Title: Java / API Developer
Location: Dublin (Hybrid – up to 2 days per week onsite)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Java / API Developer to join a delivery-focused team working on enterprise systems. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting high-quality Java and RESTful API solutions while collaborating closely with project stakeholders, testers, and junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce effort estimates for requirements where required
• Design, develop, and enhance Java and API-based solutions in line with agreed standards
• Create functional design specifications and user stories
• Adhere to code quality, data, and unit testing standards
• Identify and implement integration and automation tests where necessary
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Supervise and coach junior developers and ensure knowledge transfer
• Provide system test support, including SIR resolution
• Assist with test and live releases
• Support project tracking, planning, and risk management activities
• Collaborate closely with testers to ensure clarity on functionality and timelines
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and incidents
• Propose and implement fixes for live issues
• Escalate technical risks or blockers to team leads in a timely manner
Key Skills & Requirements:
• Strong Java development experience
• Expert-level experience with Spring RESTful Web Services
• Solid experience designing and supporting REST APIs
• Experience working in hybrid or onsite delivery environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
