On behalf of our client in South London, Cpl UK – Health are looking for a highly motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to start ASAP for work on an ongoing basis.
You will be working independently in a community setting seeing patients in their homes. You will be assisting patients to transfer and mobilise, also carrying out Urgent Therapy visits from acute hospitals, Rapid Response, GPs and other services within Urgent Care Services.
You will have a personable, friendly approach with patients and colleagues and perform your duties to the highest standards.

Job Description:
- Band 6 Occupational Therapist
- Flexible working hours (Full or part-time)
- Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate of up to £25.00
- ASAP start - Ongoing
- Carry out Urgent Therapy visits from the Acute hospitals, Rapid Response, GPs, and other Urgent Care Services
- Joint working with physiotherapists, other OTs and rehabilitation assistants
- HCPC registration
- 6 months NHS experience minimum (preferably in A&E or Orthopaedics)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Must be able to work independently in a community setting
- Must be able to drive and have access to own car
- Must be physically fit as this is an active role that requires assisting patient to transfer and mobilise
- Must have COVID risk assessment completed prior to starting this role
- Competent in Moving and Handling
- Experience of using EMIS, managing a caseload, rehabilitation, Falls patients is desirable
- Up to date with mandatory training including resus
- PPE must be worn in accordance with government guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You will work 1:1 with a dedicated and experienced recruitment consultant who has exceptional market knowledge
