Operations Director
Our client is an ambitious and growing food business who are recruiting for an Operations Director to join their company. Key priorities for this role will be taking accountability for the achievement of all production and business targets. This role requires the prioritisation of all activities linking to production, engineering, H&S, supply chain and warehousing. This role will work closely with technical, finance and people management functions. The role will all take responsibility for developing the leadership team through appropriate delegation and coaching.

Key Accountabilities
· To translate the business strategy into a ‘living plan' which can be clearly understood and owned by the Site leadership team.
· To develop and achieve all agreed financial plans and budgets.
· The identification of improvements to process and plant capable of improving site efficiency.
· To establish coherent governance to maintain control and transparency over all people/ projects/ processes to achieve expected Site performance targets.
· To drive the delivery of the highest quality food safety standards throughout the factory to ensure the development of a ‘Quality’ culture.
· The development and maintenance of a safe working
· To drive the Continuous Improvement agenda, ensuring the utilisation of standard problem solving techniques and the effective implementation of considered improvements.
The Candidate
· Graduate calibre with 10 years’ experience of running a large complex, FMCG operation
· Experience and/or knowledge in FMCG manufacturing, including exposure to chilled/ambient, major retailers, own label development and manufacture, some technical mgt (of short shelf life products) and be used to managing complexity
· Have experience of Lean / 6 Sigma or other CI methodologies
· The appropriate qualification certification in H&S and Food Hygiene
· Experience in Performance Management, Planning & prioritising, flexibility and change management, problem solving and decision making, leadership, communicating with impact,
