We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administrator to join a well-established charitable organisation on a part-time basis in Tullamore. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong administrative and coordination skills to contribute to a meaningful, client-focused environment. The successful candidate will be available for an immediate start and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, providing a welcoming and professional service
- Respond to queries regarding services via in-person interaction, telephone, email, and text
- Manage calendars, inboxes, and contact records
- Provide administrative support for clinics and scheduled services
- Maintain accurate client records and data entry systems
- Support the coordination and delivery of meetings, events, and materials
- Assist with stock control, including monthly stock-takes
- Oversee purchase orders, petty cash, and banking activities
- Support local health and safety compliance in conjunction with management
- Assist with facilities coordination, including minor office maintenance
- Manage resource centre supplies, including stationery and PPE
- Provide basic guidance and demonstrations on assistive technologies
- Carry out minor equipment maintenance (e.g. basic repairs and replacements)
- Contribute to process improvements within administrative systems
- Support ad hoc projects and research tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
