Payroll Specialist (12-month FTC)
Our client is a leading Biopharmaceutical company that is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Our client is renowned for its amazing company culture and offers unique products and services globally. This is a hybrid role and has the opportunity of being extended based on your performance.
Responsibilities include:
· Support month-end close activities, monthly payroll-related journal entries, accruals and adjustments, all in accordance with company policy and accounting guidelines.
· Provide cover as required to prepare journals & recs to cover for holidays & leaves in the team.
· Prepare month-end reconciliations of key payroll-related balance sheets and actively manage reconciliations of any open items.
· Coordinate with business partners, e.g. RTR, Tax, FP&A, for reporting and analysis & monthly calls
· Assist in compiling reports, information and documents for internal and external audit requests.
· Liaise with Controllership on requests.
· SOX controls & support the team in this area, training & support.
· Work with payroll specialists/managers to recommend improvements and process enhancements.
· Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) at regular intervals.
· Support & lead ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing as assigned.
· Monitor & follow up on aged items.
· Prelim recs review and confirmation to RTR.
· Prepare month-end Flux summary.
· Balance Sheet – lead reviews for Payroll & support PS as required.
· Review & Approve Payroll Journals.
· Support PS with month-end activities.
· Attend collaboration calls with RTR mid-month and at month-end as a touchpoint to review open items.
· Act as a central point of contact with RTR to understand the close status.
· Create and maintain a listing of expected entries each month to ensure all expected postings are complete.
Requirements:
· You will hold a relevant payroll qualification such as IPASS.
· You will have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working in a similar Payroll position, either in a Multinational or Shared Service Centre.
· You will have international Payroll experience.
· You will be proficient in IT software, including Microsoft Office, Excel and SAP.
· You will have a strong level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask and hit tight deadlines.
· You will have excellent communication skills and you will be a team player.
