The Client
My client is an indigenous organisation who continue to grow their brand in Northern Ireland. They are recruiting for a Area Manager (Pharmacy) to work alongside the Management Team.
The Role
· Ensure each Pharmacy in the assigned area is open for trading and dispensing prescriptions and that a Responsible Pharmacist is signed on at the premises at all times during the contracted hours of opening.
• Ensure the dispensing process at each Branch is carried out in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland at all times. Monitor this and take steps to address issues which might arise.
• Regularly monitor branch NHS claims for dispensing or other services (e.g. spot checks on coded prescriptions) and take steps to address issues which may arise.
• Oversee the process operated within branches to ensure timely submission of prescription/voucher bundle each month and maintain monthly records of submission dates for all branches to BSO.
• Ensure all dispensary staff and pharmacists are aware of company procedures for dealing with dispensing incidents, actions to be taken and documentation to be completed in the timeframes as specified by head office
The Person
· Membership of, or eligible to be registered with, the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
• Experience of managing teams within a retail pharmacy environment.
• Significant knowledge of the NI pharmacy context.
• Excellent IT skills, including working experience of MPS, McLernons, EPOS, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint).
