QC/ARD Assistant – Maternity Leave Cover (Contract)

Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover)

We’re looking for a QC/ARD Assistant to join our lab team on a contract basis covering maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a regulated GMP environment.
Recent science graduates are welcome to apply — full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Lab Support
- Assist with set-up and daily upkeep of the lab
- Maintain clean and organised workspaces
- Ensure reagents and materials are ready when needed
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain lab protocols, reports, and procedures
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Work in line with SOPs, GMP, and company policies
Equipment Maintenance
- Support tracking and scheduling of equipment maintenance and calibration
- Keep accurate records and liaise with service providers if needed
Inventory Management
- Order and restock lab consumables and reagents
- Monitor stock levels and maintain logs
Sample Handling
- Receive and log test samples
- Ensure proper labelling, storage, and shipping as per procedures
EHS & Audit Support
- Support Environmental Health & Safety practices
- Assist in audit preparation and maintaining audit readiness
Training & Improvement
- Complete required training
- Take part in cross-functional activities and improvement projects
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Leaving Certificate (science qualification preferred)
- Experience: Previous GMP lab experience is a plus, but not required
- Open to: Recent graduates and early-career candidates
