Qualified Accountant - Northern Ireland/ Remote

Cpl NI is delighted to work with a large public sector body to recruit a key member for the organisation's Corporate and Capital Accounting Service.

This position initially is a temporary 3-month contract.

Duties:

·      Assisting the Functional Lead within the Corporate and Capital Accounting Service to deliver service requirements.

·      Finance support to the capital budget and the annual accounts process.

·      Contribute to the management of accounts queries, and technical guidance.

·      Maintain clear audit trails in all actions taken, ensuring that lessons learned are appropriately actioned.

·      Develop and lead effective systems and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

·      A) Fully qualified accountant with current membership.

AND

·      Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. OR Higher qualification and two years’ demonstrable experience in the successful management of two of the areas listed below* in a complex organisation.

OR

·      B) Have five years’ demonstrable experience in the successful management of two of the areas listed below* in a complex organisation.

*a. Finance policy, procedures, and processes.

 b. Financial planning and strategy.

 c.  Capital budget setting, monitoring, and control.

 d. Provision of advice and support to budget holders.

 e. Maintaining and developing Fixed Asset Registers.
