This is a pivotal role for a dynamic and results-driven professional who can lead commercial strategy, drive revenue growth, and build strong client relationships within a fast-paced, design-led environment. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in senior sales leadership, a track record of delivering ambitious targets, and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership & Direction
Develop and implement the company’s overall sales strategy to deliver the company’s growth, profitability and strategic goals.
Provide regular reports and insights to the Group Managing Director and senior leadership team on market trends/developments, competitor activity, sales and financial performance to guide strategic decision-making.
Business Development & Sales Strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy to achieve revenue growth targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial, retail, hospitality, and industrial fit-out sectors.
Account Management & Client Retention
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
Design Management
Work closely with the design team to ensure proposals are innovative, functional, and aligned with client budgets and expectations.
Balance creative and commercial priorities to deliver value-engineered solutions.
Customer Service & Experience
Drive a client-centric culture that prioritizes quality, responsiveness, and long-term relationships.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team across sales, customer services, and design functions to deliver high performance and sales excellence.
Set clear objectives, performance metrics (KPIs), and training programs to build team capability, succession planning and fostering accountability and professional growth.
Financial & Commercial Management
Contribute to the overall business plan, departmental budgets, forecasts including sales and gross margin plus overhead/department costs.
Manage sales budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with financial targets.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (MBA desirable).
- Significant senior level experience in sales or business development within the fit-out or construction sector.
- Demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary teams and securing major contracts.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, project costing tools, and estimating software.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, cost structures, and business planning.
- Demonstrated ability to implement sales strategy and lead change.
