SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Management & Technical Delivery
- Lead preparation and review of year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and tax filings
- Maintain strong client relationships with regular advisory touchpoints
- Act as the key technical resource for complex tax and compliance matters
- Provide strategic advisory services, including cash flow planning and profit improvement
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor junior and intermediate staff, conducting reviews and training
- Uphold high standards through structured processes and quality control
- Cultivate a growth-oriented team culture with open collaboration
Practice Development & Strategy
- Work with partners to identify new business opportunities and enhance internal systems
- Contribute to business development efforts—proposals, onboarding, and service innovation
- Drive workflow efficiency using cloud tools such as Surf, Relate, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
REQUIREMENTS
- ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years' recent experience in an Irish accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP, Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and VAT
- Proven experience managing both a team and a client portfolio
- Proficiency in cloud and traditional accounting platforms
- Solid skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and document management systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commercially aware with a high level of attention to detail
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Experience with clients in construction, hospitality, or healthcare sectors
- Background in digital transformation or internal systems upgrades
- Experience delivering training sessions
