Senior Manager EMEA Operations
The job scope encompasses both traditional channel and e-commerce fulfillment and spans functions of transportation management, warehouse operations oversight, product configuration services and warranty support logistics.
The Senior Manager of EMEA Operations provides leadership to all staff members and to third party distribution (3PL) partners to achieve business goals in a fast-moving, high-tech company. This role directly supports revenue realization through our clients European, Middle East and African markets.
The role is a people-manager providing coaching, development and inspiration to a direct staff based in Ireland.
The Role:
· Manage 3PLs and a direct staff of team members to efficiently process inventory receipts, execute daily shipments and maintain inventory control.
· Maintain efficient operations including item set-ups in ERP systems, management of operational expenses, and replenishment of goods to appropriate inventory levels.
· Manage value-added services including product re-work, conversion and bundling that delivers on quality and cost objectives.
· Manage cycle count program to maintain inventory control and accuracy.
· Manage, review and approve invoices related to warehouse and logistics operations.
· Initiate request for quotation / request for proposal (RFQs/RFPs) as required for new operational business ventures.
· Open new distribution/warranty support centers as required to support the growing and evolving business.
· Review, select and manage transportation providers.
· Negotiate long-term contracts and short-term deals for operational services – oversee execution of agreements with 3rd parties to ensure service levels and overall performance goals are met.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams and supplies to improve product reliability, usability and install ability.
· Generate monthly key process indicators (KPIs) to track operational, cost, and quality trends – use metrics to perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions.
· Constant collaboration with internal cross functional teams (order management, sales, finance) on goals and deliverables.
· Proactively assess business systems performance and enhancement to drive automation.
· Execute the business and manage relationship with the utmost integrity.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (and/or APICS certification with substantial relevant experience).
· Experience in one or more supply chain domains (plan, make, source, deliver).
· Experience in managing warehouse and transportation operations (directly or indirectly through 3rd parties accountable to you).
· Experience in managing product rework, value-added services and configure-to-order operations.
· Enterprise Resource Planning system experience (preferably Oracle R12) / Agile (PDM) / Smartsheet (collaborative work management)
· Demonstrated process improvement skills & track record of applying these skills for business efficiency and enhancement.
· Strong MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, data visualization) and general data-analytical skills.
· Demonstrated Project Management skills (PMP Certification preferred)
· Demonstrated working knowledge of “lean/six-sigma” techniques (Blackbelt Certification preferred).
· Strong proactive communication skills (verbal, written) with all levels of management.
· A flexible and assertive approach to problem-solving.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
· Occasional travel required.
