Enterprise Payroll & Financial Systems (2 Roles)
Our client is undertaking a strategic 18-month investment programme to strengthen and modernise their enterprise Payroll & Billing technology landscape.
They are seeking two senior contract engineers to take hands-on ownership of a complex, high-volume financial ecosystem and materially improve its resilience, performance, and architectural clarity.
This is a high-impact contract role with executive sponsorship and a clear mandate.

Technical Environment
- C# / .NET (legacy and modern components)
- SQL Server (stored procedure–heavy architecture)
- Azure-based infrastructure
- Middleware and file-based integrations
- Business-critical, tightly integrated systems
Candidates must be comfortable operating in complex, mature enterprise environments.
Required Profile
- 8+ years commercial engineering experience
- Deep C# / .NET expertise
- Advanced SQL Server performance tuning experience
- Experience in financial, payroll, billing, or high-volume transactional systems
- Proven ability to stabilise and improve live production systems
- Comfortable working autonomously in loosely documented environments
Contract Details
- 18-month contract
- Hybrid model (2 days onsite preferred)
- Immediate start preferred
