Senior Social Worker required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for a new opportunity in Louth Meath Adult Mental Health Service, Navan, co. Meath.
Senior social worker in Adult Mental Health providing a full time inpatient social work service to inpatients and their families. The post is in the Drogheda Dept of Psychiatry, crosslanes, Drogheda, Co Louth. The Candidate would be a Senior Social Worker provided s/he has 3 years post qualifying experience as a social worker, preferably in Adult mental health but not essential.
The Role involves the following , although not exclusively:
- Undertaking social work assessments in the inpatient unit
- Providing support and advocacy in respect of psychosocial issues, e.g. housing, income, etc
- Family work
- Placement planning for inpatients
- Nursing home applications and Fair Deal applications
- Adult safeguarding screening, support and advice to the MDT
- Delivery of therapeutic groups and psychoeducation groups in the Unit.
The Candidate:
• A recognized qualification as a Social Worker with CORU registration
• Permission to work in Ireland
• Professional approach to work
