Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each client's specific needs
- Implement evidence-based intervention techniques to improve speech and language skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, psychologists, and educators, to ensure holistic care for clients
- Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of clients' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Offer support and education to clients' families, helping them understand and implement strategies for effective communication
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
- Valid certification or registration as a Speech and Language Therapist in Australia
- Proven experience working with individuals across different age groups with a variety of speech and language disorders
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and therapy approaches relevant to speech and language therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and the broader healthcare team
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
