💡We are currently inviting applications for the role of Team Leader within a residential respite service supporting adults with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health difficulties within a respite service setting. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Residential Services Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of a high-quality, HIQA-compliant service, while leading and supporting a dedicated staff team.
As Team Leader, you will:
- Support the Residential Services Manager in the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred service
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the respite service
- Supervise, support and motivate staff teams
- Develop and manage staff rotas, across day, evening, sleep-in and waking night shifts
- Ensure the implementation and review of individual support and care plans
- Liaise with families, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with HIQA regulations, organisational policies and best practice
- Oversee health, safety, hygiene and good housekeeping standards
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting is maintained
📝Requirements
- Minimum level 7 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Hold a full, clean driving licence for a minimum of 2 years
- Experience working in HIQA-registered residential or respite services
- Proven experience in staff supervision and team leadership in a similar setting
- Strong experience in person-centred planning and care plan implementation
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to attend mandatory training
