Technical Architect - 12 month Day Rate contract
Application and Software Upgrade - Integration/Infrastructure
Role requirements:
- Accountable for delivering effective solution architectures, working as part of a team or as an individual contributor.
- Work with the business and projects to help define and refine their requirements.
- Produce required design artefacts.
- Present to the Architecture Review Board when necessary.
- Engage with key stakeholders in the enterprise architect function and across the business.
- Ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles and direction.
- Support and collaborate with other engineering functions, including integration and data factories, information security and infrastructure partners.
- Review requirements and monitor change requests to ensure that the solution design is fit for purpose.
- Ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles and direction.
Experience:
- Experienced solution architect in designing solutions for large-scale projects and programmes working in complex, multi-vendor change delivery organisations.
- Broad knowledge of technologies across all architecture domains but, in particular, infrastructure, integration and/or security.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience.
- Excellent communicator.
- Continuous improvement and innovative mind-set.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding timelines.
- Experience in a number of the technology domains listed below:
- MS SQL Server / Oracle
- JBOSS EAP
- IBM Websphere MQ, Message Broker
- REST API design and/or SOAP services
- Cloud (AWS or Azure)
- Experience of working in Banking or Financial Services / Regulated Environment
