Role: UAT Test Lead – ISO Programme
Overview
We are seeking an experienced UAT Test Lead to support a large ISO Programme with critical delivery timelines. This is an urgent requirement requiring a hands-on test professional with strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and UAT leadership experience.
Internal candidates within the bank are preferred where possible, as this would allow for faster mobilisation and avoid the standard 2–4 week onboarding period required for external hires.
The successful candidate will lead all UAT activities, working closely with business users, product teams, and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution and successful programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coordinate, and oversee all User Acceptance Testing activities across the ISO Programme
• Develop and own UAT testing artefacts including UAT Test Strategy, Test Approach, Test Plan, and Test Closure Report
• Prepare and maintain UAT documentation including test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria
• Support a business-led UAT model, enabling business users to execute testing effectively
• Work closely with Business Users, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure UAT readiness
• Perform hands-on testing when required to support delivery deadlines
• Track UAT progress and monitor test execution against the overall release plan
• Manage and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
• Provide regular test status reporting to stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and blockers early
• Engage with business stakeholders to ensure all UAT activities are completed on time
Skills and Experience
• Proven experience working as a UAT Test Lead, ideally within banking or financial services
• Strong understanding of UAT processes, defect management, and test governance
• Excellent coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, preferably within financial services or lending
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both business and technical teams
• Hands-on testing capability and willingness to support delivery where required
• Experience using Jira, Zephyr Scale, and Confluence for test planning, execution, reporting, and documentation
