Role Purpose
The Learning & Development Specialist will design, deliver and continuously improve high‑impact learning solutions that enable organisational capability, performance and transformation.
This role has a strong focus on technology-enabled learning and will play a key part in modernising how learning is delivered across a large, distributed workforce. The postholder will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to translate business needs into practical, engaging and scalable learning interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Delivery
- Design and deliver blended learning solutions including face‑to‑face, virtual, digital, and on‑the‑job learning.
- Develop engaging learning content aligned to adult learning principles and organisational priorities.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops and learning events for diverse audience groups.
Digital & Technology‑Enabled Learning
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of eLearning and digital learning assets.
- Act as a subject matter expert on learning technologies, including LMS administration and optimisation.
- Leverage learning data and analytics to evaluate effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
- Explore and introduce innovative learning technologies and methodologies to enhance learner experience and impact.
Needs Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct learning needs analysis in partnership with business leaders and subject matter experts.
- Translate complex operational and technical requirements into effective learning solutions.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external learning partners.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Measure the effectiveness and impact of learning programmes using appropriate evaluation methodologies.
- Ensure learning solutions align with organisational standards, compliance requirements and best practice.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with governance requirements.
Change & Capability Building
- Support large‑scale organisational change initiatives through targeted learning interventions.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, innovation and development.
Essential Requirements
- A relevant third‑level qualification in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering Learning & Development solutions within a medium to large organisation.
