Branch Manager - Builders Merchant
Our client is seeking a branch manager for their Cork location. They are looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset, proven leadership skills, and a passion for customer relationships to lead this thriving branch.
About the Role
As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the full day-to-day operations of the store, driving both commercial and operational performance. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will play a crucial role in executing company’s growth strategy, supporting your team to achieve high performance, and develop lasting customer and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all branch operations, ensuring team objectives and performance targets are clearly defined and achieved.
- Retain and expand our existing customer base, actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Manage and allocate staff resources effectively in response to business needs.
- Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with both customers and suppliers.
- Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and strategic growth planning.
Required:
- Proven experience managing a team with strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Sales experience within the construction or building materials industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage change effectively.
- IT proficiency and the ability to work with data to drive decision-making.
