Cpl are working to support one of our legacy client partners in sourcing a Process Improvement Analyst to work alongside 2 members of the Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement team.
Using the latest analytics tools and processes, the CI team maximise the insights that they provide to their internal and external stakeholders, delivering professional, working solutions to the whole business.
The ideal candidate will be detail-focused with a strong ability to understand diverse business processes and uncover meaningful patterns in complex data.
Additionally, this person should be familiar with common tools and techniques for data visualisation.
You will be a core member of a team of 3 Continuous Improvement Specialists working together to analyse production, operational and customer data with the continued focus on process improvement that will drive efficiency and create process improvements.
You will also work with and support other cross functional teams in a large-scale regulated manufacturing environment.
As the Systems Improvement Analyst, you will need a mixed bland of skills both analytical lean methodologies and the ability to work as part of a hands-on implementation team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing and working closely with numerous stakeholders across the entire site, this is a full-time perm job opportunity to join a Legacy Brand and Global #1 in the Chemicals and Adhesives industry.
Continuous Improvement Analyst – Job Specification
- Focussed on communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences
- Managing multiple data sources
- Working with your Continuous Improvement Engineers to create bespoke, reproducible datasets (i.e. taking the multiple data sources and making them into one, meaningful thing)
- Data visualisation (so Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview etc – all broadly similar though using what the company uses is helpful)
- Time/Project management & Prioritisation (ideally you will be familiar with to Agile or another workload management process)
- As the site Continuous Improvement Analyst, you will be communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences
- In your capacity as site CI Analyst, you will focus on creating bespoke, reproducible datasets (i.e. taking the multiple data sources and making them into one, meaningful report model that can be viewed and communicated across the organisation)
- The CI Analyst will be a subject matter expert on preparing Data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview etc) – these systems are like what the company has in place and subject matter expertise on one or matter is essential.
- Time/Project management & Prioritisation experience is highly desirable.
Objectives of the Role:
- Working with your colleagues in the Continuous Improvement team, you will develop, implement, and maintain Continuous Improvement solutions, taking complex requirements from the business and building simple, useable analytics tools.
- Transforming commercial and business-process understanding into actionable insights using new and existing data models that can be clearly communicated to the various stakeholders in the business.
- Create datasets, reports and dashboards based on best-practice in data processing, modelling & visualisation.
- Work in partnership with the BI team and its stakeholders to drive a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of delivery for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the business to understand analytics needs, produce clear project outlines, undertake efficient development, and deliver high-quality solutions to support the sites continuous improvement and efficiency programme.
- Proactively analyse data to answer key questions or provide value-added solutions during development to drive business performance and commercial success.
- Make use of new and existing data sources with a high degree of efficiency to reduce redundancy and improve solution performance.
- In development and maintenance, be conscious of data integrity, security, and protection as a priority.
- Participate in personal and professional development in BI including learning new technologies and taking external certifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years working in Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing as a data, systems or business improvement process analyst or similar in a data-adjacent role.
- You will have a passion for continuous improvement
- The candidate will have proven analytics skills and knowledge of business processes which have resulted in efficiency and process improvements.
- Strong SQL skills and a working knowledge of SQL Server Management Server.
- Ideally you will be at expert proficiency level on Power BI, Tableau or similar and you have an aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- You will have worked in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment, and you have worked with multiple stakeholders across an organisation.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, statistical analysis, statistics etc…
- Experience with database and model design and normalisation techniques.
- Working knowledge of Azure Analysis Services and model maintenance/development through Visual Studio.
- Practical experience with Azure Data Factory and ETL pipelines.
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
