Communications Executive
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Communications Executive to join a growing FMCG client in North Dublin. This role will support both internal and external communications efforts, ensuring a cohesive and effective strategy to engage with employees, stakeholders, and the broader public. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, a strong ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for fostering positive relationships through clear and concise messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Write, edit, and distribute internal newsletters, emails, and memos to keep employees informed of company updates, events, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.
- Manage internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, employee bulletin boards) and ensure content is regularly updated.
- Assist with planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, town halls, and other internal events.
- Collect and analyse employee feedback to continually improve internal communication efforts.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal communications inquiries and troubleshooting.
External Communications:
- Create and manage content for press releases, media pitches, blog posts, and social media to promote company initiatives, achievements, and updates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Monitor and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Draft and distribute company announcements, press releases, and responses to external stakeholders.
- Oversee the management of the company’s social media presence, ensuring alignment with overall communication goals.
- Assist in the creation of marketing and promotional materials, including brochures, websites, and case studies.
- Track and report on external communication effectiveness and media coverage.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in internal and external communications (2-5 years).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools (e.g., Intranet management, social media platforms).
- Strong understanding of communication strategies, media relations, and social media engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of [specific industry] is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with content management systems, media monitoring tools, and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing software.
