TTS Support Linguists (Mexican Spanish)
I am currently seeking a Mexican Spanish speaker with experience in Computational Linguistics to join a leading social media site in Ireland. I am looking for someone who can work with a certain degree of independence towards improving TTS quality in the language of their expertise. Ideally already located in Ireland, as start date is asap.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create a regression test for each locale within their language
· Create and maintain a text normalization testset for their language
· Source and vet datasets used in training of DD TN systems, and/or craft guidelines for external annotation programs used to generate those datasets.
· Develop a set of text normalization rules for their language that guarantees certain accuracy against the testset.
· Identify/evaluate/solve language-specific pain-points
· Perform targeted data quality checks
· Audio evaluation
Qualifications:
· Native speaker of target language Mexican Spanish (+ fluent level of English)
· Degree in linguistics (Undergraduate)
· Knowledge of International Phonetic Alphabet
· Linux experience
· Command line /Python experience
· Ideal candidate is a native speaker who majored/minored in linguistics, with some computational experience

Please note: You are required to attend Training from the office for the first 2 months.
