Finance Business Partner

Finance Business Partner – Reading /Hybrid – 12-month Contract

On behalf of our public sector client, we are recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join a high-performing finance team providing essential financial insight and support across the organisation. This is a key role in driving effective financial planning, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, including change control.

·      Conduct cost monitoring and variance analysis, providing input to financial reports and impact statements.

·      Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including budget holders and senior leaders.

·      Provide accurate, timely financial information to support operational decision-making and business case development.

·      Contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.

·      Support cost benchmarking and the development of cost breakdown structures (CBS).

Criteria:

·      Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, or business partnering.

·      Strong Excel and data interpretation skills.

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence in presenting financial information.

·      Experience working within or alongside public sector organisations is desirable.
