Job Description
Position Title: Director of Finance and Procurement
Department: Finance/Procurement
Reports To: General Manager
Purpose and Scope
We are currently recruiting for a Director of Finance and Procurement to join or organisation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the requirements of a modern finance function with a clear drive to be a leader and key partner to the operational/commercial arms of the business. The role requires a candidate with a can-do attitude, driven to add value to an already high performing finance function. Reporting to the General Manager the candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development of the Company’s finance function. Full responsibility for the Finance Function across all areas:
· FP&A
o Drive the process to provide deep analysis and commentary of business performance for presentation to senior leadership (monthly) and ownership (bi-monthly board meetings)
o Treasury / Cash forecasting
o Scenario modelling (NPV’s etc.)
o Oversight of monthly flash report to senior management/ownership (key sales and volume data analysis)
· Consolidate Group Accounts (6 entities)
o Liaise with affiliates and oversee external providers in preparation of quarterly (for internal and bank reporting needs) and annual (for statutory requirement) group consolidated accounts
· Transfer Pricing
o Key role in the setting and maintenance of a complex intercompany transfer pricing regime
o Liaise with and influence key internal stakeholders re transfer pricing policies to ensure best outcomes and tax efficiencies for the group
o Coordination and oversight with external providers to ensure compliance to all applicable transfer pricing regulations
· Intercompany Accounting
o Manage relationship with affiliate entities to ensure smooth execution of day-to-day intercompany transaction
o Critical review and maintenance of intercompany agreements
· Direct responsibility for the accounting and annual reporting for group 3 entities (Ireland, UK and BVI)
· Full Budget/LBE responsibility
o Key contributor to a complex and robust group budget/LBE (latest best estimate) process
o Oversight of entity level preparation and maintenance
· Audit
o Manage relationship with external auditors / oversee annual audit process
· Tax
o Keep up to date on changes in the tax landscape/regulations that may impact the company
o Ensure controls around tax accruals and payments are robust and maintained accordingly
o Manage relationship and oversee tax related projects with external tax advisors
· Investment Portfolio
o Oversight of complex investment portfolio and related entity level accounting
· Banking Relationship Management
Other Responsibilities
Procurement
· Responsible for the group API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) procurement programme
o Supplier relationship management
o Contract negotiation and maintenance
o Dispute resolution
o Oversee order process and timely delivery of product
o Attend global pharma events to meet current partners and establish new partners
· Key contributor to selection of partners for group clinical trial programme and the related services
Supply Chain
· Oversight of operational supply chain for supply of product from affiliates to marketing partners across multiple regions
o Manage the process for ordering and timely delivery of product to partners managed under the Irish entity
o Foster strong communication channels with key partners across the various regions under TIL’s remit
o Manage external logistic vendors
IT
· Manage relationship with external IT support provider
· Implement and keep up to date IT security measures
· Oversee procurement of IT equipment
Legal
· Manage relationship with external providers
· Oversee local legal requirements
· Ensure continued strong coordination with group IP/Trademark legal team
· Review and input to key contracts and agreements across all business areas
HR
· Responsible for internal HR function
· Manage relationship with external recruitment agencies
· Oversight of new employee contracts
· Ensure smooth onboarding process
Miscellaneous
· General involvement to operational and commercial plans/strategy
· Advisory/Support role to General Manager
Your Skills/Profile:
· Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or other relevant qualification) with minimum 5 years PQE as a Finance Director or equivalent senior finance roles
· Opinionated, with an ability to influence others and foster strong relationships across multiple stakeholders
· Comfortable and confident inputting strategically, operationally, and commercially at a senior level to the business
· Capable to identify and implement improvements across your responsible functions and to add value to the business
· Growth orientated with a keen eye for opportunities to enhance sales and drive cost savings
· Currently (or in previous roles) responsible for/exposed to group consolidations
· Experienced in FP&A processes and modelling
· Working knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and the application of same
· Experience in Pharma Industry (nice to have)
· Technical excellence (Microsoft suite/ERP’s)
