The Role
As Finance Manager, you will oversee and continuously improve key financial operations and controls, including:
- Premium collection, claims payments, and bank reconciliations
- Managing relationships with banks and payment providers (e.g., Stripe)
- Leading financial control processes and ensuring compliance
- Attending external meetings with partners and stakeholders
- Producing Management Information (MI) reports on financial operations
- Reviewing aged debtors and managing claims payment control accounts
- Documenting financial policies and enhancing internal control frameworks
- Enhancing functionality within Netsuite to support scalable reporting
- Exploring new payment solutions and leading finance process improvements
You’ll play a critical role in establishing a robust financial infrastructure as the company continues to grow.
Looking For
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in financial operations, preferably within insurance or a similar environment
- Technical Expertise: Strong accounting and reconciliation skills; hands-on experience with payment platforms and ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite)
- Analytical Mindset: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent Communicator: Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Process-Oriented: Demonstrated experience in improving financial systems and internal controls
- Bonus Points: Project management experience and prior exposure to premium collection or claims processing in the insurance sector
