About the Role
Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking a Head of Performance and Risk to join their Investment Team. This senior position will oversee portfolio performance, risk analytics, and reporting, while driving innovation and operational excellence across investment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Performance and Risk team across fund performance, reporting, trading, and quantitative analytics.
- Recommend fund and portfolio changes based on strategic asset allocation (SAA) analysis.
- Oversee performance monitoring, attribution, and risk reporting for committees and stakeholders.
- Conduct portfolio, competitor, and cost analysis to support investment decisions.
- Manage reporting for governance, regulatory, and board-level requirements.
- Enhance efficiency through improved controls, automation, and process optimisation.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and analytical excellence.
Ideal Profile
- 7–10 years’ experience in fund performance, investment analytics, or risk management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- CFA and/or FRM qualification essential.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and portfolio construction.
- Strong quantitative and technical skills, with proficiency in Python, SQL, Bloomberg, and FactSet.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting and integration within investment processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
