Play a Key Role in Shaping Public Understanding and Trust in a High-Profile State Body
If you’re an experienced public affairs and communications professional looking to take the next step, this senior leadership role offers the chance to work at the heart of a key State agency with a broad economic and social mandate. Dublin based, this is a permanent role, reporting into the Chief Legal Officer. It will suit a candidate who is educated to degree/Masters level in law and/or business.
You’ll be advising the executive leadership team, helping shape how the organisation engages with Government, the media, and the public, and ensuring its messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with its long-term goals. You’ll lead the communications strategy across a wide range of business areas — from investment and infrastructure to climate finance and claims management — and work with stakeholders across Government and beyond.
The role involves both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, including overseeing reports, briefing materials, press releases, and acting as a spokesperson when needed. You’ll lead a small team, manage media and digital presence, and advise on communications issues for related State bodies.
You’ll need to bring sound judgement, political awareness, and a confident, clear writing style. Strong relationship-building skills and a track record of managing public affairs in a professional or financial services setting are essential.
