Laboratory Manager – Microbiology | Pharma Client | Cashel
Our pharma client based in Cashel is looking for a Laboratory Manager – Microbiology to join their team. This is a leadership role in a growing organisation, responsible for developing microbiology testing processes, managing laboratory operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and setup of the Microbiology Laboratory.
- Oversee microbiology testing processes and infrastructure.
- Manage method and specification-related change controls.
- Handle microbiology investigations and technical transfers.
- Oversee contract laboratory testing and liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Work cross-functionally to maintain compliance and streamline processes.
- Develop next-level leadership within the Quality Control and Analytical R&D teams.
- Support strategic expansion of inhalation microbiology capabilities with global teams.
- Identify efficiency improvements in quality control operations and develop KPIs.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology.
- 10+ years’ experience in a Microbiology Laboratory environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role (Supervisor/Manager level).
- Strong knowledge of microbiology testing and regulatory standards.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and leadership skills.
- Experience in internal audits and compliance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for team training.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
