Mechanical Engineering Technician

Flexsource NI are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Technician in the Belfast area with a starting salary of £19.11 per hour.

This is a full time temporary contract for an initial 6 months with possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for repair, maintenance, modification and servicing of all heavy and light fleet vehicles, keeping detailed records of work carried out

·        Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on a range of specialist vehicles

·        Carrying out all PSV/MOT inspections

·        Carry out body repairs and modifications, including welding repairs, fabrication of parts, and use of sprayers for painting

·        Repairing, maintaining and inspecting all electrical circuits, using computer diagnostics to diagnose circuit board faults. Carry out electrical conditioning inspection reports and PAT testing on all electrical circuits of the fleet

·        Provide cost and time estimates for repairs and maintenance of fleet

Requirements:

·        Possess a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance

·        Minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, to include heavy vehicles

·        Level 3 qualification in vehicle system repair and replacement in electric/hybrid vehicles

·        Category C UK driving licence

·        Welding certificates would be advantageous

·        Counter balance and reach forklift licence would be advantageous
