Project Engineer – Capital Projects (Pharma)

Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking for your next challenge in a high-impact, hands-on pharmaceutical manufacturing environment? We’re hiring for a Project Engineer to join our client’s team on a 12-month rolling contract, supporting a €60M+ capital investment pipeline with exciting upcoming projects into 2026–2027.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the onsite engineering team, you'll:
- Lead and support capital projects (equipment-focused) through scoping, costing, and execution stages.
- Deliver projects within cleanroom environments (Class A/B), including tech transfers, lyo cycle modifications, and installation/qualification of VHC systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to introduce new bio products and optimize existing systems (e.g., visual inspection systems).
- Oversee equipment commissioning and validation activities.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability enhancements.
- Manage project budgets (up to €5M) and external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with change control and cGMP standards.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of project engineering or project management experience in a pharma/biopharma manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with cleanroom equipment, utilities, and capital project delivery.
- Strong understanding of C&Q, process safety, and change control systems.
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering (or related discipline).
- Demonstrated success in managing tech transfers and hands-on support in live manufacturing settings.
Key Equipment & Systems Experience (one or more of):
- API/Drug Product process equipment (reactors, filter dryers, tablet press, blenders, milling, gloveboxes, etc.)
- Cleanroom utilities (HVAC, CIP, Purified Water)
- Change control systems (TrackWise experience a plus)
- Delta V and distributed control systems
- Familiarity with ATEX regulations and electrical infrastructure (desirable)
