Position Overview
SK pharmteco, in partnership with CPL, is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join the Engineering Department, reporting directly to the Engineering Programme Manager.
This is a key role within an internal team responsible for delivering several in-house capital projects over the next 12 months. The Project Manager will oversee projects from conception to completion, including design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of capital projects from concept through implementation and close-out.
- Manage design, construction, commissioning, qualification, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
- Foster and maintain a strong safety culture throughout project execution.
- Ensure project delivery meets business, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Maintenance, EHS, Quality, and Operations.
- Drive cost-effective solutions aligned with internal project management procedures and best practices.
- Identify and implement innovative engineering design solutions.
- Oversee equipment procurement and ensure qualification activities align with cGMP standards and internal procedures.
- Develop and enhance engineering standards within the department.
- Maintain and track project schedules and risk registers, ensuring mitigation actions are implemented.
- Manage input from multi-disciplinary project stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering).
- Minimum of 5 years of capital project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong communication and organisational skills; ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Ideally, experience in API manufacturing environments, with knowledge of:
- Piping and drying systems
- HVAC
- Utilities
- Reactors
- Centrifuges
- Vacuum, heating, and cooling systems
