My client are a leading provider of debt finance to property developers and investors in Ireland. Currently expanding their Dublin office we are looking for an experienced senior investment analyst to join their investment team. With professional experience in finance (property/construction industry ideally), you will be required to interrogate investment and funding opportunities for the team, supporting the Investment Director.
This is a new role for this office and the main purpose of the role is to support senior management and coordinate the analyst team.
About the Role
- A senior loan underwriter is required to help drive the performance of an established Irish real estate lender
- A strong understanding of residential development is an absolute requirement
- Exposures across residential (investment, development and land [zoned and with planning]), hospitality (hotels, sites with planning, trading pubs and venues undergoing refurbishment), investment/asset management projects across varying sectors
- Loans primarily in the greater Dublin area but capacity to lend nationwide
- Underwriting loans between €1m and €30m
- All proposed loans are evaluated on a case by case basis.
- The loan approvals process is fast and flexible, but diligence is not compromised
- High energy environment
- The role will involve loan/portfolio servicing
About the Candidate
- The ideal candidate should have no less than 7 – 10 years’ experience in the real estate space
o Should come from a lender, investment house or developer
o Should have suitable / relevant qualifications
- Flexible, self-motivated and driven
- Broad and strong understanding of the property market
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of lending and loan documentation is a key criteria
- The new senior employee will have an appropriate title and report into the Origination Director, Managing Director and interact with international ownership (publicly listed investment house with c.$70bn AUM)
- The new employee will be charged with supervising/managing the underwriting division and monitoring all work streams
