Position Title: R&DI Tax Accountant
Location: Limerick (Hybrid & Flexitime – Full-time or Part-time options)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented R&DI Tax Accountant with strong expertise in Irish tax incentives. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic financial planning, maximising access to R&D tax credits, capital allowances, Knowledge Development Box (KDB), and other grant incentive programs administered by IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, and Revenue.
This role involves advising on incentive strategy, preparing and reviewing claims, financial forecasting, and ensuring full compliance with tax and funding frameworks. Flexible working hours are available, with full-time and part-time options considered.
Key Responsibilities
Incentive Strategy & Advisory
- Identify and evaluate eligible Irish tax credits, grants, and incentive schemes.
- Support business units in structuring projects to meet incentive eligibility criteria.
- Act as internal subject matter expert on R&D tax credits, KDB, and other innovation-related tax regimes.
Financial Analysis & Forecasting
- Model the financial impact of tax reliefs and grant funding for business planning.
- Track and forecast tax credit claims and grant receipts across projects.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Legal, Grant Coordinators, and Government Affairs teams.
- Liaise with Revenue, IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, and external advisors as required.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership highlighting opportunities and risks.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain audit-ready supporting documentation for all tax and grant claims.
- Stay informed on legislative changes and proactively assess implications for the organisation.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in financial analysis or tax advisory with proven knowledge of Irish tax incentives.
- In-depth understanding of Revenue’s R&D tax credit regime, Knowledge Development Box (KDB), and capital allowances.
- Experience with IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, or similar grant-awarding bodies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, financial reporting, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
Preferred Certifications:
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent financial/tax professional qualification preferred.

Contract & Benefits
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Hourly rate: €30–€40
