Senior Operator Grade 1 (Packaging & Distribution)- ALMAC Diagnostics
CPL have partnered with ALMAC Group to recruit for a Senior Operator Grade 1 to join their team on a temporary, on-going contract.
· Pay Rate - £12.57 per/hr
· Location – ALMAC Global Headquarters, Craigavon
· Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
· Hours – 37.5 hours per week
· Shift - 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday
OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE:
To work in close liaison with Production and Distribution Team Leads to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Almac Diagnostic Services distribution and production activities within the warehouse facility. This role will include the undertaking of a limited range of supervisory duties to produce finished clinical trial and packaging protocols to the guidelines of the required regulatory standards. This role is to act as a senior operator and will be expected to coordinate and complete manufacturing and distribution activities unsupervised.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The post holder will:
1. Organise and direct workloads to ensure that all operations take place in an efficient manner and in accordance with the SOPs.
2. Liase with the Production and Distribution team lead to ensure that Production and Distribution schedules are met.
3. Provide, as necessary, training for other Operators.
4. Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to within all areas
5. Ensure processes and procedures are complied with to produce product within acceptable limits & regulatory standards. For example
a. Before each batch commences, ensure that the production room to be used has been cleaned and cleared after the last operation as per appropriate SOPs.
b. Ensure that the correct input material has been issued and received into the production operation.
c. Set up the production equipment to produce the product required.
d. Ensure that all set up checks are performed as required during the production operation.
e. At the completion of an operation, verify the reconciliation of all materials used in the operation and ensure that all unused items are returned to the warehouse.
f. Organise production room layout to ensure that the product is manufactured in an efficient manner.
g. Fully understand and adhere to instructions as detailed in the batch documentation and SOPs.
h. Complete all documentation in a tidy and accurate manner. This includes Works Orders, Room and Log Books,
6. Ensure Distribution procedures are complied with in order to efficiently dispatch product. For example
a. Before each dispatch is processed confirm line clear down.
b. Perform second checks on pick pack to verify the pick process has been performed correctly.
c. Ensure that all checks are performed as required and all paperwork has been signed off
d. Highlight any paperwork issues to the Distribution admin team for follow up.
e. Organise dispatch area to ensure the efficient dispatch of materials.
f. Fully understand and adhere to Distribution instructions and review and log required updates with the admin team were needed.
7. Ensure that all operations achieve the output as detailed on the production or dispatch schedule and that any anomalies are reported to the Production Senior.
8. Effectively oversee staff within designated operations:
9. Convey appropriate instructions and information about the operation to all team members and update schedule were necessary.
10. Ensure that all team members have the appropriate skills to perform the tasks required.
11. Undertake any other duties or instructions as required by the Senior Operator.
12. Deputise for Senior Grade 2 when needed.
During periods of high-volume work requests this role will require additional coverage beyond normal working hours and it is a condition of your employment that you are able to fulfil this requirement of the role.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English Language at Grade C or above
Proven experience scheduling tasks to achieve completion for required dates
IT skills including experience in excel
Warehouse goods inwards experience
DESIREABLE REQUIREMENT
Previous Production / distribution experience
Knowledge of manufacturing practices (GMP) / Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
Experience with Sample Collection kit Manufacture
