Our clients Global Trade Operations (GTO) has a global mandate and responsibility for Trade Finance Operations, processes and their improvements.
Within the Trade Finance Operations, Supply Chain Organization focusses on the Payables, Receivables and Inventory finance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or contribute to transformation projects (local, EMEA or worldwide)
• Project scoping, animation, monitoring and reporting
• Preparation of project follow up reporting to Local Senior Management or Head Office
• Pain point collection, analysis and propose solutions, formalization of study results
• Business requirement collection, analysis, contribute to formalization
• Define or review process impacted by the project
• Coordinate the various teams involved in the project, detect and analyze the risk and define mitigation actions to complete the project, launch escalation if needed
• Design and deliver support documentation to facilitate project implementation such as process, guidelines, operational procedures or user guide, controls in coordination with internal Operational Control teams
Transversal coordination of the Supply Chain Finance Operations (local, EMEA or worldwide)
• Define, gather and collate meaningful KPIs and Dashboards with Operational Hubs and participate in Run Committees
• Prepare, lead and minute various Steering committees and follow decisions/action plans
• Design and distribution of Management Reporting Packs
• Maintain and update Supply Chain Knowledge database
• Contribution to Business case formulation with specific emphasis on operational impacts
• Ensure Global Guidelines, Procedures, Compliance Requirements and Control Plans in relation to Supply Chain activity are implemented within the Operational hubs. Define standard processed and maintain generic procedure and control plans.
• Proactive following of audit recommendations and their implementation
• Interlocutor for Compliance and OPC related projects and information requests
Financial Security
• Knowledge: Staff must have a clear understanding of Group policies and requirements, and their own obligations under these standards. This includes ensuring that they understand the regulatory and Group requirements in relation to Financial Security, both at a general level, and specifically related to their role. Financial Security related matters include those connected to: anti-money laundering (AML); countering the financing of terrorism (CFT); international financial sanctions and embargoes (IFS); anti-bribery and corruption (ABC); KYC; ongoing client related data screening; and transaction monitoring.
• Policies & Controls: Staff must adhere to the Group’s Financial Security policies and local laws; ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to manage Financial Security related processes and risk (including in regard to customer due diligence and how they use the Group’s products and services; and a maintaining a satisfactory understanding of transaction activity).
• Vigilance & Reporting: Staff must be vigilant to unusual or suspicious activity; and duly report or escalate to senior management or Compliance as appropriate. Activity referred to, may concern customers, counterparties, staff or other third parties. Staff must escalate known or suspected concerns relating to potential or actual: money laundering; terrorist financing; bribery or corruption; sanctions breaches or attempts to circumvent the sanctions regime; or any other wrongdoing (including fraud or theft).
Skills and Competencies
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Business, related banking systems and operational processes is a plus
• Proven project manager experience in a multicultural environment – min 5 years.
• Good Risk awareness in banking environment (operational & compliance)
• Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
• Self-motivated with proactive outlook
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Experience in analysing operational processes for improvements
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Pragmatic and innovative approach to problem solving
