Cpl Foster Care is seeking an experienced Senior Social Work Manager to lead our dynamic and expanding service. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow a national service dedicated to supporting foster care recruitment, assessment, and review across Ireland. Offering a strong degree of flexibility, this role combines remote working with in‑office collaboration.
We deliver a comprehensive suite of recruit‑to‑approval services, supporting our clients nationwide in the recruitment and assessment of prospective Foster Carers.
Our services include:
- Bespoke, targeted Foster Care recruitment campaigns
- Screening and shortlisting of applicants
- Completion of a range of fostering assessments
- Independent reviews of Foster Carers
Full administrative support provided.
As the Fostering Services Manager, you will:
- Lead on the development and implementation of business plans to grow and evolve the service. This is a significant element of this role and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate such skills.
- Oversee the operational delivery of all services, ensuring high standards and full compliance with relevant fostering regulations and national standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and line management.
- Allocate assessments to Social Workers.
- Manage key client relationships and engagement.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the success of the service.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and CORU registration.
- At least five years’ senior-level experience managing a social work service.
- Strong knowledge of fostering, child welfare, and regulatory frameworks.
- Vision and creativity in shaping the strategic direction of a service.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills within a complex practice environment.
- A high level of motivation, professionalism, and commitment.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Clinical/professional supervision will be provided by an external Social Work Supervisor.
