Speech and Language Therapist – Louth
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, Our Lady of Lourdes, Drogheda are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join their team and to provide high quality speech and language therapy assessment and interventions to adults with a range of speech, language, communication, voice and eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties.
Applications for both staff grade and senior grade positions will be considered.
The Speech & Language Therapy Department provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with speech, language, communication, voice and eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties.
The typical caseload consists of patients presenting with a range of neurological, medical & surgical conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Duties include routine intake assessments
The Candidate:
· A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist and CORU registration
· Some postgraduate experience in an acute setting is desirable for staff grade applicants, placement experience will be considered
· A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience is required in order to be considered for a senior role. Experience of managing a general medical caseload with particular experience of stroke is desirable
· Dysphagia experience and qualification
· Participate in cross site work as required
· Experience in conducting Videofluoroscopy is desirable
· Be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
