The role:
A pivotal role, with a full copy of the Job Spec available on request, the Stores Coordinator will:
- Have responsibility for overseeing the efficient management of all tools, materials and inventory used in the precast concrete manufacturing process. This covers receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of raw materials (aggregates, cements, steel, admixtures) and consumables.
- Ensure smooth operations through timely availability of materials, minimising wastage and controlling inventory costs.
The person:
- Proven experience managing materials.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Familiar with audits, regulatory compliance and documentation.
- Sound knowledge of material handling safety – PPE usage and storage standards.
- Proven ability to supervise a team/ lead a team.
- Sound knowledge of inventory control methods (safety stock, reorder levels etc)
- IT proficiency including Microsoft Office suite.
- Able to handle unexpected challenges like supply delays, urgent production needs or damaged materials.
- Ability to respond to issues that may arise with a level-headed approach and the ability to think logically and react quickly.
