Technical Services Engineer
Location: Dublin / Shannon (with collaboration across European teams)
Contract Type: Permanent (subject to probation period)
About the Role
Our client, a leading international aviation engineering organisation, is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join their Technical Services Engineering team.
The company provides specialised engineering services to aircraft engine owners and leasing companies worldwide. The team supports engine lease transitions, technical assessments, records management and documentation review to ensure aircraft engines meet operational and regulatory requirements.
This is a highly collaborative role involving coordination with engineering teams, aircraft operators, leasing companies and internal technical specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Review aircraft engine operational performance, maintenance history and technical documentation.
- Assess engine maintenance requirements and overall technical condition.
- Investigate and resolve engine documentation discrepancies and close outstanding technical issues.
- Liaise with internal engineering teams to review, cleanse and validate engine records.
- Communicate with aircraft operators and engine lessors to support smooth engine lease transitions.
- Generate outgoing engine documentation packages for the next operator, including:
- Remaining Life Information
- Airworthiness Limitations
- Service Bulletin Status
- Maintain and analyse engine databases and technical information systems.
- Support improvements to internal databases and technical processes.
- Review and summarise technical documentation to assist with the valuation and trading of aircraft engines.
- Provide technical guidance on configuration standards across engine fleets.
- Prepare technical condition reports for aircraft engines.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical records teams to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
Essential
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to review and interpret technical documentation and maintenance records
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience in aircraft engine maintenance, leasing, technical services or records management
- Knowledge of aircraft engine documentation and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in the aviation or aerospace industry
