Overview
On behalf of our client, a well-established accountancy practice in Cork, we are seeking a motivated Accounting Trainee to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to train towards a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CPA) within a supportive and hands-on practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions
- Perform bookkeeping and support payroll processing
- Liaise with clients to collect information and resolve queries
- Work closely with senior accountants across a varied client base
- Engage in regular training and professional development
Candidate Profile
Required:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Desirable:
- Internship or part-time experience in an accounting/finance role
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero)
