We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in Dublin 15. This role is ideal for a qualified contractor operating through an LTD company and comes with the opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art biologics facility in a high-impact role.
You will support the Electrical and Life Safety Systems across the site, including systems and infrastructure such as boilers, chillers, compressors, water utilities, WWTP, and the oversight of hard services providers. You will also play a key part in transitioning major capital projects into Operations.
Key responsibilities:
· Ensure reliable and compliant operations of site Critical Utility equipment.
· Optimize and develop plant maintenance plans, SOPs, and risk assessments.
· Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring environmental control.
· Review vendor documents and reports; close out work orders via CMMS.
· Provide technical oversight of utility operations during project development and handover stages.
· Engage and manage external service providers across Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, and Procurement functions.
· Ensure systems are compliant with GMP, EPA license, EHS, and Engineering standards.
· Participate in regulatory and corporate audits.
Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering role in a regulated manufacturing environment.
· Electrical Trade Qualification with career progression or Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering.
· Proficient in CMMS, Utility system software, and digital maintenance platforms.
· Skilled in creating and revising technical documentation (SOPs, PMs, JPs).
· Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, functional design specifications.
The following are preferred competencies:
· Electrical system start-up and commissioning experience.
· Experience in Life Safety & Security Systems (e.g., Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control).
· Experience overseeing maintenance shutdowns.
· Strong planning, delegation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
