Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team initially on a contract with a strong chance of this moving to a permanent role, based on performance. Our client is a well-established multinational in Cork that is an employer choice. Responsibilities:

·      Create and post GL journals as appropriate

·      Month-end US GAAP reporting

·      Preparation of relevant balance sheet account reconciliation’s

·      Review of P&L for reasonableness and accuracy / cost centre reporting.

·      Review bank reconciliation’s as appropriate

·      Work with large volumes of data and analyse same

·      Manage manual recharges with Accenture

·      Quarterly and ad hoc corporate schedules

·      Management of outsourced month end process

Requirements:  

·      You will be a Qualified Accountant with either ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA

·      You will have US GAAP experience

·      Being Big 4 Qualified is a significant advantage

·      You will be proficient on ERP Systems and Microsoft Office including Excel

·      You will have excellent knowledge of GA processes and procedures

·      Experience working within a multinational environment or shared service centre

·      You will have excellent communication skills

·      Advanced Excel and Macros is desirable
